ABOUT OUR TRAIL RACE SERIES
Prior to 2010, every region in PA had a series of trail races except here in the Alleghenies Mountains. Now in our seventh year, Allegheny Trailrunners has a reputation of organizing some of the best trail races in the region, drawing runners from every corner of the state and across the nation. For four years, our Dirty Kiln and Rock N’ The Knob races have been a proud part of the Trailrunner Magazine Trail Race Series.
In 2019, we plan on having our timed-endurance race and trail festival in mid-July. It is just a day of running – but it also seminars, exhibits, a beer garden, movies and more! [Details are coming soon!]
We will also be lending our experience to some of the world-class ultra-endurance events in northern Pennsylvania like co-directing the Black Forest 100K Ultra and providing logistics and support to Worlds End Ultra and Eastern States 100.
Our drive to create an environment to introduce runners to the sport that we love. In the meantime, if we can help the local community with outdoor preservation and help area youth, it is icing on the cake. All of it would not be possible without the tremendous support from our sponsors. Below is our sponsor guide for our races in the 2019 season.
Regardless of your reason not to race the Dirty Kiln, we are always in need for volunteers for our races. Whether it is at an aid station, course marshal or sweeping, or at race headquarters helping with race registration, finishers prep and more, there are plenty of race day opportunities.
